The basic function of the HVAC Test and Balance Project Manager is to perform air and water balancing at the project that he or she is assigned.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but not be restricted to, diagnose, troubleshoot, test, adjust and balance air and water systems and controls accurately, within the estimated time, and with a high degree of quality.
Work Conditions:
A portion of the time is spent in the office, which is a smoke free temperature controlled environment with little noise. The majority of work time will be spent on the job sites, which can be hot during the summer and cold during the winter months, hazardous, noisy and dusty. These locations are visited throughout the year and during all weather conditions. Occasional travel may be required.
Requirements for the HVAC Test and Balance Project Manager:
◊ High School Diploma Required
◊ Some college desired, OR at least 2 years experience in a related field with fundamental understanding of the air balancing industry.
◊ Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
◊ Knowledge of advanced math, large mechanical equipment and technical issues a plus.
◊ Must be able to work under time sensitive situations.
◊ Must be able to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders repetitively.
◊ Must possess the ability to work closely with diverse groups of people, including company employees at all levels, contractors, suppliers and other out side professions with whom the company deals or negotiates with on a normal basis.
